Every engagement begins with rigorous, phased fieldwork — key informant interviews, structured technical assessments, site visits, and remote verification — paired with in-depth secondary research. Our multidisciplinary teams apply this mixed-methods approach to understand exactly where the real technical and human bottlenecks are before we suggest a single solution. Collaborations
Collaboration is at the heart of how we connect research and capacity building with the organizations and partners who turn knowledge into practice and lasting impact. For years, we have worked directly with national and international organizations, providing multidisciplinary expertise and a deep understanding of Sudan’s diverse social, economic, political, and institutional contexts. Our experience spans multiple regions, including Darfur, Blue Nile, Kordofan, and Eastern Sudan, as well as work beyond Sudan.
Through these collaborations, we bring together local knowledge, technical expertise, and international experience to develop practical and context-sensitive solutions. Capacity Building
Capacity building turns our research findings into practical, locally owned tools, needs assessments, Terms of Reference, and technical support for the institutions and civil society partners we work alongside. We have delivered this for national and international bodies. This is where our Capacity Building work makes evidence stick, strengthening the people and institutions who carry it forward.
Improving Practices
Improving practices is where research, evidence, and expertise are translated into practical solutions that support better decision-making and sustainable institutional development. We work with various institutions — including government, private-sector organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders — to identify gaps, strengthen systems, and develop context-sensitive recommendations that respond to real-world challenges.
